Slow Cooker Dr. Pepper Pulled Pork

Summer is on it’s way which means I’m on a the hunt for quick, easy meals that don’t heat up the kitchen. The slow cooker is great for this time of year because who wants to turn on the hot oven when it’s 90 degrees outside?

Plus, anything covered in BBQ sauce is a win in the summer, right? I know you won’t be disappointed with this simple recipe for Slow Cooker Dr. Pepper Pulled Pork. It’s quick to put together because it only calls for three simple ingredients.

It’s tender and full of delicious flavor that I know you and your loved ones will enjoy. This is one of those recipes that you will want to keep in your rotation because it’s so good and can be put together quickly.

Feel free to serve the pulled pork on a bun or by itself. Cover it with cheese or put a spoonful of coleslaw on top, either way I know you will enjoy this recipe. PS If Dr. Pepper isn’t your thing, I also have a recipe for Root Beer Pulled Pork.

How to Make Slow Cooker Dr. Pepper Pulled Pork:

Boneless pork tenderloin, BBQ sauce and a bottle of Dr. Pepper sitting on a marble countertop.
Place the tenderloin in the bottom of the slow cooker liner and pour the Dr. Pepper over the top.

Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or until the tenderloin is fork tender.

Discard the remaining liquid. Shred the pork and stir in the barbecue sauce.

Allow the shredded pork to simmer in the slow cooker for an additional 30 minutes prior to serving.

  • 1 - 3 to 4 pound boneless pork tenderloin
  • 1 ½ cups Dr Pepper
  • 2 cups barbecue sauce

Instructions

  • Place the tenderloin in the bottom of the slow cooker liner and pour the Dr. Pepper over the top.
