Crock-Pot Goulash {A Quick & Easy Dinner}
American Goulash is different from the traditional Hungarian version, in that it uses macaroni noodles and ground beef.
I remember my grandma making goulash all the time and so every time I hear the word I think of eating in her country kitchen.
I’m not sure how the American version of this dish came about, but it’s defining characteristics include ground beef, tomatoes and macaroni noodles. Goulash is a hearty and filling dish that is mild enough to be kid-friendly.
I love how this version of Goulash uses the Slow Cooker, so that is can be put together in the morning before work or school and then be almost ready come dinner time. All you need to do is to turn the heat up to high and add in the noodles 1 hour before serving or until noodles are cooked through.
