This recipe for Parmesan Garlic Chicken Pasta is definitely a winner and one that you’re going to be coming back to again and again. I hope you enjoy it friends!
Recipe Cooking Tips:
- You may substitute boneless, skinless chicken thighs for the chicken breasts.
- Freshly grated Parmesan cheese and freshly chopped garlic are going to give you the most flavor, but pre-diced garlic and pre-grated cheese may also be used if you’re in a hurry or that’s all that you have on hand.
- If you prefer your food spicy, then you can add 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes and/or 1 tsp of Cajun seasoning to kick it up a notch.
Ingredients:
- boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Parmesan cheese
- chicken broth
- melted butter
- garlic
- dried parsley
- dried oregano
- dried basil
- black pepper
- salt
- (Optional) red pepper flakes
- penne pasta
How to Make Parmesan Garlic Chicken Pasta:
Grease the slow cooker with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Next, add the grated Parmesan cheese, chicken broth, melted butter, minced garlic, dried parsley, dried oregano, dried basil, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes (if using) over the top of the chicken breasts.
Place the lid onto the slow cooker and cook on low 4-6 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender. Cooking times may vary depending on your crock pot, so check that the chicken is no longer pink in the middle and at 165F before consuming.
Once the chicken is fully cooked, use two forks to shred it directly in the slow cooker, making sure to mix the chicken well with the sauce.
Toss the cooked pasta with the chicken and sauce. Allow the pasta to soak up the sauce for an additional 15-20 minutes on the “warm” setting if available, stirring occasionally to ensure it’s evenly coated.
Serve garnished with additional grated Parmesan cheese.
