Crispy & Flavorful Air Fryer Parmesan Chicken
Fried Chicken is one of my guilty pleasures, but I can’t always indulge, which is why I love having a healthier alternative. This chicken is breaded and then cooked in the air fryer, making it crisp, juicy and full of flavor.
It may sound like a complicated recipe, but all you do is dip the chicken in an egg wash and then breadcrumb coating and cook in the air fryer. What’s in Air Fryer Parmesan Crusted Chicken?
- boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- grated Parmesan cheese
- bread crumbs
- garlic powder
- dried oregano
- dried basil
- salt
- black pepper
- eggs
- Olive oil spray
How to Make Air Fryer Parmesan Crusted Chicken:
Preheat Air Fryer to 375°F.
In a shallow dish, mix together the Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, garlic powder, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper.
Dip each chicken breast into the beaten eggs, then coat with the Parmesan mixture, pressing gently to make it stick.
Spray the Air Fryer basket with olive oil spray. Place the coated chicken breasts into the basket, making sure they are not touching.
Lightly spray the tops of the chicken breasts with olive oil spray.
Air fry the chicken at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through, flipping halfway through cooking.
Serve the Parmesan Crusted Chicken hot with your favorite dipping sauces.

- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 eggs beaten
- Olive oil spray
Instructions
- Preheat Air Fryer to 375°F.
- In a shallow dish, mix together the Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, garlic powder, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper.
- Dip each chicken breast into the beaten eggs, then coat with the Parmesan mixture, pressing gently to make it stick.
- Spray the Air Fryer basket with olive oil spray. Place the coated chicken breasts into the basket, making sure they are not touching.
- Lightly spray the tops of the chicken breasts with olive oil spray.
- Air fry the chicken at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through, flipping halfway through cooking.
- Serve the Parmesan Crusted Chicken hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
