These look delicious! Have you tried freezing them? It would be nice to have them ready to go for a quick, fun treat.
I’m not sure how freezing them would work? They might become a little mushy.
1 hour seems like a long time, do the peppers hold up or shrink a bunch?
Still, I can’t wait to try these!! 🙂
Yes, they will shrink, but still be firm enough to hold everything.
I tried these tonight and they’re amazing! Definitely one that I’ll keep using and great for our low carb lifestyle. Thank you so so much for sharing!
I have made these many times before and whole family loves them, but the last time I made them the filling all ran out before the bacon could get done! I did not use thin sliced bacon plus I added just 2 boxes of fat free cream cheese with 4 boxes of original cream cheese!! I was so mad only about 40 out of 100 of them turn out nice!! It is hard to believe that fat free cheese and medium sliced bacon made such a difference! Jo Ellen Columbus, Ohio
To avoid the inside from running out, I cut in half, scoop out seeds, and leave the stems on.
I just made these for a low carb treat for the Super Bowl over the weekend! Huge hit! I did an hour and they were perfect! I did put the broiler on for about 5 minutes or so just to give the bacon a bit more crunch. I took a couple to work the next day and heated them up in the microwave- they are a bit saugy but, I would make them again to take to work for leftovers! Better than having a sandwich everyday and I didn’t spend more than $10 to make all of these! Bonus! So good! Thank you for the recipe!
These were FABULOUS! Thank you for this terrific recipe, photos and details. We are using this snack as a go to during our Keto eating plan. Would anyone happen to have the breakdown of a serving size, caloric, carb, etc. breakdown? ~ Thank you again
Can these be made the day before, leave in the refrigerator and cook one hour before the party ?
I’m sure they would be fine, but they going to be better made the day of the party.
I have made these a day before and left in the fridge with saran wrap. They turned out great still!
Wonderful Post
Thanks
