Chocolate Chip Cookies with Yogurt

These Chocolate Chip Cookies made with yogurt are just as delicious as you might imagine. They’re soft, chewy and full of sugary goodness.

Chocolate Chip Cookies with Yogurt

Who doesn’t love chocolate chip cookies? They’re literally one of my all time favorite desserts and it’s always fun to try different recipes for them. This one calls for Greek yogurt, giving them a more soft and moist texture. They’re great for when you have extra yogurt that needs to be used up. I really think you’ll enjoy this recipe. Ingredients for Chocolate Chip Cookies:

1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
½ cup sugar
½ cup brown sugar, packed
½ cup plain Greek yogurt
1 to 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

How to Make Chocolate Chip Cookies:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

In a separate mixing bowl or stand mixer, beat together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy, about 6 minutes, scraping down the sides as needed.

Mix in the Greek yogurt and vanilla. Beat until blended.

Add the flour mixture to the bowl and beat until blended, scraping down the sides as needed.

Fold in chocolate chips.

Using a small cookie scoop, portion the cookie dough and place on the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart.

Bake the cookies for 8 to 10 minutes. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 to 10 minutes before moving to a wire rack.

Let the cookies cool completely prior to storing in an airtight container.
