Cheeseburger Pasta Skillet

One pot or pan recipes are my favorite because they makes the process of making dinner so simple and streamlined.

While this recipe for Cheeseburger Pasta Skillet technically uses two pans (one for making the pasta), it’s still a great way to get dinner on the table in under an hour.

Plus, it’s kid-friendly with the pasta cheese combination and is sure to have your family coming back for more.

Ingredients for Cheeseburger Pasta:

  • pasta, any shape
  • ground beef
  • onion
  • garlic
  • can diced tomatoes
  • beef broth
  • shredded cheddar cheese
  • ketchup
  • mustard
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chopped lettuce, for garnish
  • Quartered cherry tomatoes, for garnish
  • Chopped pickles, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

How to Make Cheeseburger Pasta Skillet:

Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with diced onion over medium heat, breaking it up as it cooks.

Add the minced garlic to the skillet with the beef and cook for 1 minute.

Stir in the diced tomatoes, beef broth, ketchup, and mustard. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Simmer the mixture for 10-15 minutes or until the sauce has thickened slightly.

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the sauce.

Stir in 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese.

Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the top of the pasta and cover the skillet until the cheese is melted.

Serve the Cheeseburger Pasta hot, garnished with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and sesame seeds, if desired.
