3-Ingredient Watermelon Slush
Nothing says summer like watermelon. They cool, hydrate and fill you up on a hot summer afternoon. Also, they’re the perfect dessert for any BBQ or picnic menu.
I love coming up with new ways to use summer produce that are quick, easy and taste delicious. Being a gardener, I almost always have extra produce lying around during the summer that I’m looking to use up and this watermelon slush recipe is perfect for that and it will definitely quench your thirst on a hot summer day.
I tried making it using fresh watermelon and ice, but the consistency wasn’t what I was looking for, so I decided to freeze the watermelon and see if that made a difference.
It definitely worked, producing a silkier more even consistency, so the next time you’re cutting a watermelon just throw three cups in a freezer bag to have ready whenever you want to make your slush.
If watermelon isn’t your thing, then you may want to try this 3-Ingredient Cherry Slush. Happy summer friends!
