Why Have a Slow & Simple Spring?
The speed that our modern world pushes us is way too fast and I believe that we would all reap huge benefits from taking the time to slow down, intentionally rest and enjoy the changing seasons all around us.
It seems like us modern folk are constantly pushing ourselves to be productive or keep up with the information deluge that is the internet, yet we were never meant to live this way.
Anxiety levels are at an all time high and I wonder if it’s because of the frantic energy we always seem to be going at that prevents our bodies from relaxing and healing.
If you’re craving a slower pace, then I challenge you to take the time this spring to clear your schedule, take your shoes off and simply go outside and soak up the sun.
Grounding (touching the earth with your bare feet), breathing in fresh air and letting the sunlight soak into your skin are incredibly healing and relaxing activities that we should all be partaking in more often.
Springtime is the perfect season to slow down and appreciate the beauty of nature waking up all around us. Each days brings with it a new bloom or a fresh greenness that wasn’t their the day before.
So, if you’re ready to put the screens down and have a slow and simple old-fashioned spring, then you’re in the right place because I’ve got 20 ideas for you and your loved ones to do to appreciate the newness and freshness of spring. I hope you enjoy this list and be sure to check out the links below for more simple living ideas!
