Easy 4-Ingredient Egg Noodles

You might think that making your own noodles is time consuming and complicated, but this recipe for homemade egg noodles only requires four simple ingredients and takes very little time.

You can buy the fancy pasta machine for more efficiency, but these simple noodles can be made without any equipment besides a floured surface, your hands and something to cut them apart.

If you ever ate noodles at your grandma’s house, then it’s likely that she used a recipe just like this one. These noodles will add the best texture, flavor and consistency to just about any homemade meal.

Ingredients for Homemade Egg Noodles:

  • flour
  • salt
  • milk
  • eggs

How to Make Egg Noodles:

Stir together the flour and salt in a large bowl.

Make a well in the flour and add the eggs and milk. Stir until a soft ball forms.

Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead the dough for 5-10 minutes or until it becomes soft and pliable.

Cover and refrigerate for half an hour or until ready to roll them out.

Roll out the dough until it’s around 1/8 inch thick (this small rolling pin makes the job much easier), then cut into strips with a sharp knife or pizza cutter.

Place on drying rack for 2-3 hours to allow to air dry, then transfer to an airtight container for storage or cook immediately for 2 to 3 minutes in a pot of salted, boiling water.
