Heart Shaped Valentine Brownies

I love quick and easy recipes like this one. Even though I enjoy cooking and all things food, I’m not one for elaborate, time intensive recipes. It’s just not my personality, which is why this recipe for Valentine Brownie’s is so great, especially for busy mom’s who have a million details to take care of everyday.

We all want to do the best for our children and families, including making memories around holidays, but it doesn’t have to be complicated. I’m all about keeping things simple, especially with food, which is why I know you’re going to love these quick and easy brownies. All you need is a baking pan, a brownie mix, red candy melts, a piping bag and a heart shaped cookie cutter.

This recipe uses a store-bought brownie mix, but of course, if you have a favorite brownie recipe from scratch, feel free to use that instead. Also, you can decorate them however you like, with icing, sprinkles or fondant. The sky is the limit and be sure to get the kids in on the fun of decorating them. Enjoy the recipe friends and have a Happy Valentine’s Day!

How to Make Heart Shaped Valentine Brownies:

Prepare brownie batter according to package instructions, then stir in chocolate chips.

Pour brownie batter into a greased 9×13 baking dish and bake according to package instructions for the same pan size.

Allow brownies to cool completely, then use a 2-inch heart shaped cookie cutter to cut out 12 hearts. (Don’t throw away those extra brownie pieces, but treat yourself!).

Melt the red melting chocolate according to package instructions.

Spread the melted chocolate over the top of the brownies and top with heart sprinkles or pour melted chocolate into a piping bag and pipe red stripes over the top of the brownies.
