Easy Halloween Party Table + Monster Party Mix Recipe

Americans of all ages celebrate the paranormal activity and mystery of Halloween- in fact 34 percent of people attend or throw Halloween parties. If you are one of them then I’ve got a few easy entertaining ideas for you today. As in most aspects of my life, I like to keep things simple when throwing parties which is why I purchased all of my decor at the local dollar store and served a variety of Hershey’s candies.
Hershey’s helps families harness the magic of Halloween by sharing new and classic treats that help transform any halloween party from normal to paranormal. Seasonal favorites from Hershey’s include chocolate assortment variety bags with a little something for everyone, Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkins, Kit Kat Bars and Cadbury Scréme Eggs.
For my party table I covered a festive tablecloth with black mesh for a spooky feel and pinned spider webbing on the wall behind it. For the centerpiece, I stuffed a witches hat with plastic bags to give it form and placed it on top of a trick-or-treat pumpkin. Then I added party bowls all around to be filled with treats and also placed (homegrown!) small pumpkins throughout the table.
Then I filled a vase with white tissue paper and added black and purple glitter sticks and clip on black butterflies that I found at the dollar store. I like the smokey effect of the tissue paper in the vase. Visit Hershey’s for more Halloween party ideas.
For the party treats, I kept things simple by filling two large bowls with Hershey’s candy, one small bowl with popcorn and another small bowl with my homemade Monster Party Mix. (recipe below) To make the mix you will need a bag of the Hershey’s Candy Corn bars pictured below. The recipe should easily feed 4-6 children depending on how many other treats you are serving.
Monster Party Mix
serves 4-6 children
1 cup mini pretzels
1 cup salted peanuts
1 cup crispy corn snacks
1 cup Reese’s Pieces
1 cup Hershey’s Candy Corn broken into bits
To make: Mix all ingredients in bowl and serve.
