This rustic no knead cheddar bread is easy to make in the dutch oven and full of savory, chewy, comforting flavors that will keep you warm body and soul, on a cold winter’s day.
Flour | Salt | Yeast Water | Cheddar Cheese
Whisk the flour, salt and yeast until combined. Add in water and stir until a sticky dough forms. Stir in the cheddar cheese until fully combined with the dough.
Cover the dough and let it rest at room temperature for 12-18 hours. When you are ready to bake your dough, put an empty dutch oven into the oven and preheat.
Heavily flour a smooth surface and roll the dough until it forms a ball. Remove the hot dutch oven, line with parchment paper and place the bread dough into the dutch oven.
Cover the bread and bake for 30 minutes, then remove the lid from the dutch oven and cook for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the bread is golden brown.
