Homemade Pumpkin Biscuits
A pumpkin flavored baking powder biscuit.

flour

tsp
baking powder

tsp
salt
1/2

sugar

pumpkin puree

tbsp
shortening (you may substitute butter or coconut oil)
1/3
cup
milk
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 and grease medium baking dish.
In small mixing bowl, combine sugar, pumpkin and milk. Set aside.
In medium mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.
Using a pastry cutter or fork, cut shortening into flour mixture until crumbly.
Add pumpkin mixture to flour mixture and combine until just moistened.
Turn out on lightly floured surface and knead 3-4 times until soft dough forms.
Roll out dough to 1/2" thickness and cut into circles using biscuit cutter (a cup or jar will work in a pinch).
Place biscuits in greased baking dish and cook 20 minutes.
Notes
Butter or coconut oil may be substituted for the shortening.
