Ingredients

  • 1 Chocolate Boxed Cake Mix for 12 cupcakes
  • 2 to 3 cups Light Green Frosting
  • optional for filling 12 Cadbury Creme Mini Eggs, unwrapped
  • Cupcake Liners
  • Brown Sprinkles
  • Cadbury Mini Eggs or other egg shaped candy of choice

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 F
  • Line a 12 cup muffin pan with cupcake liners. Spray liners with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Follow cake mix instructions for mixing the batter.
  • Pour ¼ cup of batter into each cupcake liner.
  • Place an unwrapped Cadbury Creme Mini Egg into the center of each cupcake liner with the largest side of the candy down.
  • Top with another ¼ to 1/3 cup batter.
  • Bake according to the cake mix instructions, typically around 18 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and allow cupcakes to cool completely before decorating.
  • Using a piping tip, top each cupcake with light green frosting in a circular pattern.
  • Turn the cupcake upside down and dip frosting into brown sprinkles
  • Place three Cadbury Mini Eggs on top of each cupcake. Enjoy!
