Old-Fashioned Brown Sugar Baked Beans

I grew up eating baked beans pretty much every time we grilled or had a BBQ. They remind me of summertime, fireworks and freedom.

Baked beans make the perfect side dish for grilled chicken, hotdogs, hamburgers or pork. They’re full of sweet flavor from the brown sugar and molasses, but the bacon adds a salty bite that makes them savory.

This recipe uses canned pork and beans, making it easy to throw together and bake in the oven while you tend to the rest of the meal.

The molasses adds that old fashioned flavor that baked beans are known for, so don’t skip it!
