Frugal Weekly Meal Plan (5/4-5/8)

See our frugal weekly meal plan for a family of four.

One of the best ways to save on food is to menu plan as much as you can around what’s already in your pantry. This week for instance, I’m finally getting around to making the turkey breast that I purchased with coupons around the holidays. I’m thinking I can get at least three meals from it. We are moving soon and so I’m trying to clean out as much as I can from the freezer.

Also, I’m still using up our strawberries from last year so we will be having smoothies for breakfast this week. We’ve been eating the last of the strawberry freezer jam and it is SOOO delicious. I’ll be sharing a recipe for it soon so be sure to check back. If you’ve never made freezer jam before I would encourage you to try because it really couldn’t be easier. Plus, it tastes like strawberry shortcake in a jar. Who can resist that?? Anyway, on to the menu plan for this week!

Looks yummy! We have lots of Mexican flavours on the menu this week, as well as a slow cooker soup planned. Fingers crossed I get a nice breakfast for Mother's Day too!
