Frugal Weekly Meal Plan (5/11-5/15)

See our frugal weekly meal plan for a family of four.

Sometimes a meal plan looks great on paper, but doesn’t work out the best in real life. Being frugal and living on a budget forces you to be flexible and change things when the need arises. This past week I had planned on making a roast turkey for dinner and then using the leftovers for a couple of meals throughout the week, but things didn’t turn out like I’d hoped.

The day I had planned on cooking the turkey, I realized that I didn’t have a roasting pan big enough. Then we had to be out of the house a couple of nights for the inspection and appraisal to be done on our house. Needless to say, we ate out more than I’d hoped and I had to change the meal plan around to better fit our needs. I wanted to share this to let you know that its okay if things don’t go as planned and you need to shift things around. Life happens and all you can do is make the best of it. So anyway, I still have a frozen turkey breast in my freezer that needs to be cooked and I’m sure I’ll get around to doing it one day.

Also, I just finished making a new freezer recipe that I’m going to share soon. It’s easy and makes four meals all at once. Yay! Freezer cooking makes me happy. Anyway, on to the meals..
