It was kind of a challenge coming up with frugal things for this month because we’ve been spending money on our house like crazy. (We are remodeling a 2800 sq. ft home.) Things are starting to come together though so hopefully next month will be better as far as being frugal.
Went to the Splash Pad
My kids are still pretty young to take to the pool by myself, but they really enjoy the splash pad. It’s FREE which makes it a great way to spend a hot summer day. Plus, it wears them out so they normally end up taking a good nap.
Used Free Credit from Toys R Us
I had a free $10 credit from the Toys R Us Rewards program that we used on new sand toys. My son was super excited and it didn’t cost me a thing!
Used Ibotta
Ibotta is my absolute favorite grocery rebate app that I use after every shopping trip. I love it because they have a ton of generic rebates on things that I already buy such as milk, bananas, bread, pasta, etc. Plus, they tend to have rebates on a lot of different products that have high value coupons out at the same time making for some great deals. Just last week I got $10 back from one shopping trip. AWESOME!! Click here to sign up and earn cash back on your next shopping trip.
Used Amazon Giftcards
I love using Swagbucks and Bing Rewards to earn Amazon gift cards and PayPal cash. Last month I cashed in over $80 worth of Amazon gift cards to order our new master bedding. Yay! Click here to learn 10 Easy ways to Earn with Swagbucks.
Went to Silver Dollar City for FREE
Every year my husband’s work treats their workers and families to a one day pass into Silver Dollar City including a free meal ticket for every family member. This is a great opportunity for us to have a mini getaway on the cheap.
Went to Little Debbie Outlet
Our new town is the birthplace of Little Debbie which means they have a pretty awesome outlet store that I visited last month. They have a ton of awesome priced granola bars, breads, snack cakes, etc. Obviously, buying cheap snack cakes for my family all the time isn’t healthy, but they have my husband’s favorite granola bars (Sunbelt Bakery) for $1 per box which is an awesome deal. They also had hamburger and hot dog buns on sale 2/$1. I bought a few bags of these to freeze and use throughout the summer for BBQs, etc. I can definitely see myself stopping in every once in awhile to see what’s on sale.
What frugal things did you do last month? I’d love to know!
