Donut Hole Mini Muffins

Donuts are one of my absolute favorite desserts, however I don’t eat them very often because of the high calorie content, so why not make Donut Hole Mini Muffins instead?

These mini muffins are dipped in cinnamon sugar and are full of the sweet and delicious flavor of donut holes that you can make right from home.

This recipe uses a mini muffin pan, but you can use a regular sized muffin pan if that is all you have, just remember to up the baking time to ensure that they cook all the way through.

How to Make Donut Hole Mini Muffins:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees and grease a mini muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray.

In a large mixing bowl, beat together butter and sugar until fluffy.

Add the milk, vanilla, flour, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg blending until smooth.

Spoon the batter into the mini muffin pan, filling each cup halfway full.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until the muffins are golden brown brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Allow the muffins to cool, then remove them from the pan.

Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a gallon-size bag.

Brush each muffin with butter, then place in the bag and toss to coat.

Continue tossing until all the muffins are coated in sugar. Enjoy!
