  1. This post inspired me to make a slightly....different version. Hungry for lunch, but being lazy and having no chili beans to hand, I used 3 cans of Hormel's chili w beans, 3 sliced hot dogs, most of a can of tomato sauce, and two generous handfuls of shredded cheese. All that mixed w garlic, Italian herbs, pepper, and placed into a casserole dish. Baked at 350 for 40 min, it made a hot and bubbly meal with enough for supper. There are 2 of us that will eat this. Son will eat something else. I was going to top it w cornbread batter for a real corn dog taste, but as I said, lazy. Also, dh isn't a great cornbread fan, tho I might make some for supper. All that to say, yours looks like a delicious recipe, and thank you for the inspiration!!
