A Fabric Review and A Coupon!

I’ve been getting back into sewing lately and I was thrilled when asked to review the new HGTV line of home decor fabrics that is available at Joann’s Fabric and Crafts Stores.

They sent me two yards of fabric, a length of trim and a copy of the new HGTV magazine that is filled with tons of home and garden tips and ideas.

The Urban Blossoms fabric is a cotton/linen blend and the Checkered Berry is 100% cotton. I love these fabrics because they are so durable yet soft.

I made a full butcher style apron with contrasting ties. I thought about adding a pocket, but decided the print was pretty enough on it’s own. I am really pleased with how it turned out.

Joann’s has provided a 10% off coupon (below) for all of my readers that is valid now through May 4. Also, from April 14-May 4 the fabric line will be 50% off and you can use the coupon on top of the sale!! They really have some cute prints. You should go check them out and happy sewing!

The apron is beautiful! Sewing is one thing I don't do well. I own a machine and have done many projects, but I'd much rather have my hands in the dirt! I so admire those with great sewing skills. Thanks for sharing!

Sewing can be frustrating at times and I do it in spurts.
