10 Bible Verses for Worry and Anxiety

Worry and anxiety are things that we all struggle with to one degree or another, but for some it can become so big that it takes over our lives. If you’re a Christian, you were not called to live paralyzed by fear, worry or anxiety.

The enemy wants nothing more than to whisper lies into your ear and cause you to believe them, but God has defeated the enemy and wants you to walk in that freedom. “If God is for us, who can be against us?” -Romans 8:31

I’ve struggled a LOT with fear and anxiety over the last few years and I’ve found that through it all, God’s word is true and has power.

When you’re worrying about something, try replacing that thought with what is TRUE. God lives in you and wants you to break free from the strongholds of fear, worry and anxiety.

I realize that this is off topic from my normal frugal living and recipe posts, but at the end of the day, this blog is about my life and my journey. I’ve struggled a lot lately with these issues and I wanted to share the verses that have been helping me in hopes that they can help someone else.

  3. I have been going through a period of anxiety, worry, etc after my husband left 2 years ago for another woman. I had 3 girls 5 years, 4 years, and 8 months as well as being 4 months pregnant. All I ever wanted was for him to come back and for our marriage and family to be put back together. Alas, that is not what happened and he married her and had a child. I have struggled greatly with what God wants me to do and following His path. I am so grateful for you sharing these Bible verses. I'm not one to comment on websites but felt compelled to do so today. Thank you.

The age difference is a struggle only now ( after 19 years of marriage ) because he is suffering from several different medical conditions. I love him so much and dread anything happening. I know full well he belongs to God, not me. I love Jesus SO MUCH!! I feel I need to keep my dear sweet husband safe and healthy, but I cannot. Please pray for me. I know God loves us all beyond comprehension...I am trying so hard not to worry. GOD is ever good, and these verses will give me strength I know. Thank you for being Christ to others by your desire to help your brothers and sisters in Him!
