Homemade Energy Bars stacked on a white plate.

These homemade energy bars are the perfect healthy pick-me-up.

Homemade Energy Bars

Store-bought energy bars are normally expensive and full of not-so-healthy ingredients so I decided to make my own. It’s super easy to customize this recipe to fit your tastes. For example, you could use walnuts instead of pecans, dried apricots instead of raisins, flaxseeds instead of hemp hearts, etc. Play around with it and find the perfect recipe for your family. These bars are great to keep around for a healthy on-the-go breakfast or snack.

How to Make Homemade Energy Bars:

Place all ingredients in a food processor or high-powered blender.

Blend around 30 seconds or until all ingredients are small and uniform in size.

Press firmly into a pan and refrigerate for one hour.

Slice into bars and enjoy!

  1. Is there anyway to make it so that it sticks and stays together better? I did put it in the freezer which helped but trying to make it a mess less toddler snack.
