My husband and I love our crockpot baked sweet potatoes! I make them at least once a week or more and they never seem to get old. The easiest (& best) way to prepare them is in the crockpot. They always turn out perfectly cooked and I swear they taste better than from the oven! Once you go crockpot you’ll never go back. I promise. Plus, sweet potatoes are one of the healthiest foods on the planet so what are you waiting for?? Grab some sweet potatoes (they are in season right now!) and let’s get started!

      1. I noticed that you don't add any liquid. Is that correct? Do they not burn at the bottom? Can't wait to try them, I love sweet potatoes!
        1. Ruby, All I do is spray the crockpot and put the potatoes in, no liquid needed. I have never had an issue with burning. You could probably wrap them in foil if you wanted too.
  1. I am discovering your blog for the first time and I love a lot of your recipes. I am just after polishing off a sweet potato dinner but next time I will definitely try the slow cooker recipe. Great website :)
  2. I, usually, put my sweet 'tators' in the microwave. Depending on size, I can 'nuke' 4 at a time till they are done, in 10 to 12 min. Is there more of an advantage to doing them in the crockpot for 8 to 10 hrs, other than maybe more sweeter, because of their natural sugars coming out more because of the longer cooking time ? Just curious, certainly not criticizing. Thank You. :)
    1. It's just easier for me to get something in the Crockpot in the morning and not have to worry about it because the dinner hour around here is kind of hectic. Also, I'm pretty sure microwaving kills the nutrients in your food. That's my two cents. :)
