I love keeping Christmas as simple and low stress as possible which is why I try to earn gift cards each month using various apps and websites to put towards the holidays. Doing this eases the financial burden that can come this time of year.

There are many cashback apps and survey websites to choose from, but today I’m going to share with you the ones that I love and use the most. And if you save your earnings all year long then you may even find that this time next year, you’ve got enough to pay for everyone on your list!

Swagbucks

I’ve been earning money and gift cards using Swagbucks for many years now and it’s one of my favorite ways to bring in a little extra for Christmas gifts. Swagbucks is a website where you earn by doing simple tasks such as searching the internet, watching videos, answering surveys, playing games, etc. Once you earn enough bucks you can turn them in for prizes or gift cards. I normally turn mine in for PayPal or Amazon gift cards. You can also earn Swagbucks by referring others under your unique code. IBOTTA

Ibotta is my favorite grocery rebate app. They offer a ton of store specific rebates including rebates on generic items such as bananas and milk. Simply open the app while making your grocery list and see if there is anything you need or have a coupon for, purchase the items and then scan your receipt when you get home. Plus, you can earn bonuses when you refer friends or complete different tasks. I normally earn around $15-$20 a month with this app. I love it! Also, when you use my referral link and redeem your first rebate you get a $5 bonus! Click here to sign up and start earning!

Checkout51

Checkout 51 is another grocery rebate app that I used for a long time. They don’t offer as many rebates as Ibotta, but the good thing about them is that they aren’t store specific. This means that you can use this app and get rebates no matter where you shop. Click here to sign up and start earning!

Savings Catcher

Wal-Mart Savings Catcher is where you scan your Wal-Mart receipts and get cash back if there is a competitor with a lower price in the area. I love this app because I’m always shopping at Wal-Mart, but don’t always remember to price match. This app is great for people who don’t have a lot of time, but still want to earn a little extra. All you do is scan your receipt and the app does the rest.  Click here to sign up and start earning!

  1. I installed swagbucks following your recommendation. I have spent all morning trying to uninstall as the browser is a real pain, and continues to pop up without permission even after you unsubscribe. Please warn others to look into the drawbacks to this site before they install.
    1. I'm sorry that you had problems. I have the Swagbutton installed on FireFox and it only pops up when you can earn cashback on different sites. I've never had an issue with it. Maybe there are settings with the browser that you can change?
  2. Sorry for the slow response! The issue I had was at the point where I decided to uninstall. Swagbucks was popping up as my internet browser without permission despite my having cancelled and having gone through the procedure to uninstall. I searched for advice on the internet and found that many other people had the same problem. Basically it can be a real nightmare to uninstall at all and is classed by many as a virus. I finally succeeded using a virus removal software. I think it would be worth reminding people to check reviews online before going ahead with installation. Thank you!
